Short Description

Haha. Mole from scratch would be a lot of hard work. I agree. I have developed my own ghetto non traditional way of making mole, but it works. Haha. My fellow Mexicans might be upset with me for not doing it the traditional way, but hey, I save a lot of time and it tastes great.Give it a shot and tell me what you think.I boil my chicken, although I hate boiling chicken it's what I do to get broth. I add onions and bullion powder or cubes. While that cooks, I make the mole sauce In a separate small pot. I try to use similar ingredients you'd use if making it from scratch, but simplified versions. :)I add a little bit of oil and melt some chocolate bars. I usually use Hershey chocolate. Then I add in a can of tomato sauce, some spoonfuls of doña Maria mole sauce, I let it cook for a bit. I add chili powder. Taste as you go, feel free to add peanut butter if you wish. Then I transfer the sauce into a blender and add some of the chicken broth in there, along with some of the cooked onions and blend it. I just add more mole or more chili powder tasting as I go until I find the flavor I like. It's really easy. If you try it that way, let me know how it works out for you.  Juanelo1946
