I could never figure out why my
mother called these Canadian
Brownies - until my daughter and
family moved to Detroit. On a
visit, we wondered into a chain
called Hortons, and there in the
bakery case was an
"International Bar"...it
looked strangely familiar. We
purchased one, bit into the layers,
and sure enough - it was
"MY" Canadian Brownie.
Since I learned this was a Canadian
chain, I finally understood where
the name came from for these bars!
